Mary Dimasi, CNM


Guided by her passion for women’s health and knowledge of advanced evidence-based medicine, Mary Di Masi, CNM is a trusted medical practitioner. Mary cares for patients at Capital Women’s Care Division 49.
After graduating from her certified nurse midwife program with honors, Mary started caring for women throughout the greater Washington, D.C., metro area. Mary is known for patient-centric care where she spends time educating each of her patients on preventive medicine and treatment plans. This supportive type of environment allows women to share in the decision-making process for gynecological care, prenatal care, and delivery options.
Mary even helps with family planning. Whether a woman is interested in selecting the right type of birth control or is ready to start getting pregnant, Mary offers compassionate care every step of the way.
Patients of Mary adore her natural caring and nurturing demeanor. She’s highly skilled at helping women find peace and comfort during the most difficult and overwhelming stages of pregnancy and delivery.
Mary is affiliated with INOVA Loudon hospital, which gives her access to one of the most in-demand, state-of-the-art medical facilities in the Washington, D.C., area.

Anne Brown, MD


Anne Brown, MD, has been practicing OB/GYN in Leesburg and Sterling, Virginia, since 1994. She attended college and medical school at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and trained in her field at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Brown has been actively involved in leadership activities at Loudoun Hospital since her arrival, including serving as the Chairman of the Department of OB/GYN from 2002-2005, and currently serving as the Medical Director of the Women’s Health Service Line for Inova Loudoun Hospital. She received the Golden Stethoscope Award for Excellence in Teaching in both 1992 and 1994.

Dr. Brown has a strong sense of commitment to her patients and community and feels it’s her job to approach the patient physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She considers it a privilege to be a Leesburg and Sterling women’s health physician and to empower her patients to lead healthier lives, creating stronger women, stronger families, and a stronger community.

Jane Allen, MD


Jane Allen, MD, moved to Loudoun County, Virginia, in 2002 and has been practicing as a Leesburg and Sterling women’s health physician with Capital Women’s Care since 2003. Dr. Allen graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. She then attended Loyola University of Chicago Medical School on a Navy scholarship. She completed a residency in OB/GYN at the University of Wisconsin.

After completing residency, Dr. Allen became an attending physician at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and she maintained an assistant professor appointment at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda for several years. She was Loudoun Hospital Chairman of Ob/Gyn for 4 years, is board certified and was the winner of the Caduceus Award.

As an experienced OB/GYN for Leesburg and Sterling women, Dr. Allen believes quality care means personalized medicine for each patient. She enjoys getting to know her patients’ unique stories and helping them take charge of their health.

Cathleen Mills, MD


Cathleen Mills, MD, has been an OB/GYN in Leesburg and Sterling at Capital Women’s Care since 2007. She graduated from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Mills then joined the U.S. Navy and received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Since 1998, she has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of OB/GYN at USUHS.

Dedicated to women’s health, she has been practicing the art of OB/GYN since 1996. Dr. Mills’ distinguished awards include the American Society of Clinical Pathologist’s Award for Academic Excellence and Achievement and the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation for Scholastic Achievement.

Dr. Mills’ specific research interests include hyperemesis gravidarum (a pregnancy complication) and the physiology of pregnancy. As a Leesburg and Sterling women’s health physician, she delights in caring for women throughout their pregnancies and through the many different phases of their life.

Gillian Jacob, MD


Born in Port of Spain, Gillian Jacob, MD, has been at Capital Women’s Care since her move to Virginia in 2014. As an OB/GYN in Leesburg and Sterling, she enjoys getting to know her patients and is committed to providing individualized, compassionate care. She believes that each patient has a unique journey, and she loves being a partner with women on their path to health.

Dr. Jacob graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Psychology. She received her medical degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She then completed her OB/GYN residency in 2005 at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She is a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN, a member of the North American Menopause Society, and a recognized member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

As a Leesburg and Sterling women’s health physician, she enjoys serving the local community and helping women develop healthier minds, bodies, and lifestyles.

Melissa Torres, CNM

Certified Nurse Midwife

Melissa Torres is a Certified Nurse Midwife who graduated from Frontier Nursing University with a Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2017. She is originally from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia in 2001. She pursued a career in nursing following eight years of military service. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from George Mason University in 2010. Following her passion for women’s health she went on to work as a labor and delivery nurse for over five years and later worked as an outpatient clinical Ob/Gyn nurse while completing her graduate studies. She has been practicing full scope midwifery for the past year in Fredericksburg, VA.

Melissa believes that her role as a provider is to partner with women while offering them the guidance and support necessary to make decisions about their healthcare needs. She has a special interest in normal pregnancy, low intervention labor and birth as well as patient education and advocacy.

Melissa lives in Prince William County with her husband and two boys. When she is not working she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, cooking and crafting.
